Terms of use
The terms on which Intergen Technology Inc. provides Mason to organisations and to the people who work in them.
1. About these terms
These terms form an agreement between Intergen Technology Inc., Bridgetown, Barbados (Intergen, we and us), and the organisation that uses Mason (you), and each person who signs in to Mason on that organisation's behalf. Signing in means you accept them. COUNSEL confirm the contracting entity, and whether a signed order form or master agreement replaces these terms for a ministry or other public body. Confirm that signing in is an effective way to accept them.
2. What Mason does
Mason reads the agreements you upload and checks them against the law that governs them. It extracts their clauses, defined terms, parties, dates and obligations; raises findings for a reviewer to accept, reject or override; keeps a record of who decided what; and lets a reviewer share an agreement by link or connect an AI assistant to a workspace. Mason's parsing and statute checks are carried out by Mandatum, an Intergen platform. Where a redlined copy of an agreement is issued, section 7 applies.
3. Accounts and workspaces
- Give accurate details when you sign in, and keep your sign-in codes, links and password private.
- Each workspace has owners and admins, who decide who may join it. You are responsible for what the members of your workspace do with it.
- You must be authorised to act for your organisation when you accept these terms or invite people to a workspace.
- Tell us promptly if you believe someone has used your account without permission.
4. Acceptable use
Use Mason only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms. In particular, you must not:
- upload material you have no right to process, or material that is unlawful to store or share;
- try to see another workspace's data, bypass access controls, or probe Mason's systems for weaknesses, other than through the route described on the Support page;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell Mason, or use it to build a competing product;
- use a connected AI assistant to read anything you could not read yourself;
- rely on Mason's output as the only basis for a decision (see section 6).
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the agreements and other content you upload or enter into Mason (your content). You give Intergen a limited licence to host, copy, parse, process and display your content, and to pass it to the service providers listed in the Privacy notice, only so that Mason can provide the service to you. Intergen does not claim ownership of your content, or of the redlines and findings your reviewers accept.
Intergen does not use your content to train AI models. CONFIRM confirm this commitment, and how it is written into the contract with each AI and parsing provider.
6. AI output is advisory, not legal advice
Mason's findings, suggestions, explanations and any drafted wording are produced by software. They can be wrong or incomplete, and they are not legal advice. A qualified person must review each one before anyone relies on it, signs an agreement or takes a decision on the basis of it.
A check that Mason has run is not a finding that an agreement is lawful, enforceable or complete. Mason can check only what it has been given, and only against the sources it can reach. COUNSEL confirm this disclaimer, and whether it must also appear inside the product at the point of review.
7. Pay per redline
CONFIRM paid redlines are sold through Paddle and are not yet open. This section must not take effect until the price, the payment terms and the refund position below are settled, and until Paddle's checkout is live for Mason.
Each person has one free redline. It is free only if neither the workspace, the person issuing it, nor any owner of the workspace has already had a free redline. Every other redline is charged at the flat price shown to you before you issue it. You pay that price through Paddle, in a checkout that opens when you choose to issue, and the redline is issued once Paddle confirms the payment. Only owners, admins and reviewers can issue a redline. A redline is a tracked-changes Word file of one version of an agreement, containing the changes your reviewers have accepted. Downloading the same set of changes again is not charged again.
Paddle.com Market Ltd (Paddle) is the merchant of record for each paid redline. It sells the redline to you, takes the payment, and handles the sales tax on it under its own terms, which apply to that payment. Mason never sees your card details. The price per redline is CONFIRM confirm the price, its currency, and whether it includes tax. CONFIRM confirm the currencies Paddle accepts for Mason's redlines, and any tax treatment that differs by country

8. Availability and support
We aim to keep Mason available, and will tell you in advance of planned maintenance where we can. Mason is provided during a pilot, and its features may change as it develops. CONFIRM confirm whether any availability or response-time commitment is offered, and at what level.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend a workspace or account if you break these terms, if its use puts Mason or other customers at risk, or if an invoice remains unpaid CONFIRM confirm the number of days an invoice may be overdue, after we have written to you, before suspension.
You may stop using Mason at any time by closing your workspace or account. What happens to your data on closure is set out in section 7 of the Privacy notice.
COUNSEL state what happens to a customer's data when Intergen ends the service, including whether an export is offered before deletion, and how long any records kept for legal reasons are retained.
10. Intellectual property
Mason's software, design, playbooks and the way its findings are presented belong to Intergen or its licensors. Statutes and other legal texts are not owned by Intergen, and their rights stay with whoever holds them. COUNSEL confirm the rights position for statute text returned through Mandatum, and for any playbook content a customer supplies.
11. Third-party services
Mason relies on the service providers listed in the Privacy notice. A connected AI assistant or other client is provided by its own operator, and that operator's terms govern your use of it. We are not responsible for a third party's service, except where the law requires us to be.
12. Warranties and disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, Mason is provided as it is and as it is available. We do not warrant that it will be free of errors or uninterrupted, or that it will suit a particular purpose, and we do not warrant the output described in section 6. COUNSEL confirm the warranty wording, and any statutory warranty in Barbados that cannot be excluded.
13. Limits of liability
COUNSEL state the cap on Intergen's total liability (for example, the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim), the categories of loss excluded, and the carve-outs for death, personal injury, fraud and any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Barbados, and the courts of Barbados have jurisdiction over disputes that arise under them. COUNSEL confirm the governing law and forum, any step required before proceedings (such as notice or negotiation), and whether an arbitration clause is wanted.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will show the date of the current version at the top of this page, and tell workspace owners by email before a material change takes effect. CONFIRM confirm the notice period, and whether continued use counts as acceptance of a change.
16. Contact
Questions about these terms go to the contact on the Support page. CONFIRM confirm the address for legal notices, which may differ from the support address.
